Shadow Rail Minister & Chief Insp of Railways ride HydroFLEX

Porterbrook CEO Mary Grant and Chief Operating Officer Ben Ackroyd were pleased to host the Shadow Rail Minister Stephen Morgan, HM Chief Inspector of Railways Ian Prosser CBE and Acting Chief Inspector of Railways Richard Hines at Long Marston Rail Innovation Centre.

After a tour of the site to see the extensive upgrades since 2021, including the Asset Management Facility which opened last year, we discussed our significant plans to electrify the 3.5km test track, before stepping on board HydroFLEX, the UK’s first heavy rail hydrogen train developed and extensively tested at Long Marston, for a run on the mainline to Evesham.
